Happy fall! Leave it to me to bring you a pattern unrelated to fall. Well that’s just how I roll It’s gets exhausting trying to keep up with everyone and everything sometimes so here’s me going to the beat of my own drum. As I mentioned before this year has been a roller coaster of so many changes which I’m still in the thick of it. So I’m just trying to go with the flow and do the best I can with what I’ve got right now. You don’t become a success overnight so I’m just gonna keep designing patterns for you guys that I love with the time and materials that I have.
So here she is my second knit pattern! this is a very beginner friendly simple pattern that is easily customizable. I seriously love working with cotton and there are so many great cotton yarns out there than you can use for this pattern. Be sure to check out these yarn alternatives for this pattern:

Pattern Notes:
This pattern is worked length wise. If you would like to adjust the length of your table runner add or remove the amount of stitches you cast on (there are no multiples). The Sequence of stitches equal 8 rows. If you would like to add more width add a multiple of 8 rows, if you would like to reduce the width omit 8 rows. Make sure you are working your drop stitches on a right side row, If your drop stitches start on a wrong side row you have an incorrect row count.
Pattern
CO 220 sts
Tip: count your stitches in 50 stitch sections adding a stitch marker to each section. Because losing your place is annoying!
Row 1: k across
Row 2: p across
Row 3-7: Repeat rows 1 & 2
Row 8: k, wrapping yarn around needle 2 times for each st
Row 9: p, dropping one loop of each st
Repeat rows 1-9 until you reach 8 inches
Loosely cast off all stitches
Blocking
I will admit I have never blocked anything before this project, But! It is necessary for this piece as it will curl on the edges. Don’t worry! Blocking is your friend. You can either use a steamer but if you don’t have one (like me) you can use this method bellow.
Wet your piece with a spray bottle or in the sink and lay it out on blocking mats
Pin all sides keeping straight lines and let dry
That’s it! Easy Peezy!
Tassels
Cut about 12 inch strands
Fold 2 strands together in half and attach to every other stitch when you come to the drop stitches add 2 tassels into each space.
Trim tassel ends.
Another great thing about this pattern is it doubles as a great lightweight summer scarf!
