Crochet Farmhouse Wreath

At the end of Spring my boyfriend and I moved into our very own adult house! Included with a garage for my guy, a yard for our dog Lola and a home office/ yarn room for me! After having a very difficult year when we left California, we needed this so badly. I am still in awe at how quickly and easily things worked out for us to move to Tucson. So first thing I thought after we moved in is I need to get to making some wall decor! I had this pattern in mind for months before we actually knew we would be moving so I thought it was the perfect piece for our new home.

How to work the wreath

Step 1: Make a slip knot.

Step 2: Bring your yarn into the center of the wreath from the back and Slip Stitch around the wreath.

Step 3: Work single crochets around the wreath, all the way around. Push yarn closely together so that the foam wreath does not show.

Step 4: Work a single crochet over your first stitch (or slip stitch) so that it is hidden.

Step 5: Slip stitch into the next stitch.

Step 6: Cut your yarn leaving about 4 inches.

Step 7: Weave your tail into the top of the single crochets.

How to make the bow

Step 1: (with main color) Make a small loop. Pinch the bottom together.

Step 2: Make another larger loop off to the left side.

Step 3: Make another loop the same size as the last on the opposite side.

Step 4: (take your second color) Pinch the end with your index finger and thumb. Make 2 loops opposite of the last.

Step 5: Repeat step 4.

Step 6: (with both colors) Make a long loop 12″-18″ (this will be your tails).

Step 7: Tie everything together at the center of your bow, including your tail ends.

Step 8: Cut your tail loops in half.

Step 9: Fold your ends down and cut them diagonally.

Finishing

Secure your bow to the bottom of your wreath. Hot glue flowers and press them firm into the foam of your wreath.
