How to Knit the Double Seed Stitch

I absolutely love the texture in this stitch and a major plus is its so easy to work up!  A beginner can definitely work this stitch and the repeat is easy to follow and remember. All you need to know is how to knit and how to purl. 

Materials 

• Furls Whims Worsted – I used the color light grey
• Furls Ebony & Padauk straight knitting needles – 5.50mm

Pattern

Multiple of 4+1 

4 row repeat 

For my swatch I casted on 24 stitches 

Row 1: knit 2, purl 2, knit 2, repeat to the end. You will end on 2 purl stitches. 

Row 2: Repeat row 1 

Row 3: Purl 2, knit 2, purl 2, repeat to the end. You will end on 2 knit stitches.

Row 4: repeat row 3 

Repeat rows 1-4
