Simple yet flirty make up The Daisy Summer Tank Top. This top is light and airy making it a go to top for those hot summer days. It is perfect to throw over your bathing suit for a day of playing on the beach or pair it with a light sweater for a cute date night look.
The construction is so easy! Simple stitches and shaping make this a beginner friendly pattern. The top mostly consists of double crochet in the back loop only and I also include instructional photos for the picot edging, It’s easier than it looks!
This top is easily customizable, prefer more of a cropped top? Just remove some rows from the body section. Keep in mind that the two panels are identical so whatever changes you make to the front panel also carry over to the back panel.
This CAL will be broken down into 3 parts. Part 1, we will work the bottom half of the body for both panels. Part 2, we will move onto the top shaping and straps. Part 3, We will then finish with the Picot edging and seaming the 2 panels together.
For this pattern I used Lion Brand’s ZZ Twist which is a worsted weight Acrylic yarn. There are so many things I love about this yarn like slight shine it has, the colors are amazing, it pretty much doesn’t split at all. I feel like this yarn although it is acrylic it is comparable to cotton making it light weight and drape really well.
For the hook I used Furls Odyssey Turquoise & Nickel. I have been using my Odyssey hooks non stop lately. They are so smooth and help me work so fast. I think I powered this top faster than any other project I’ve made. I love that I can work for long periods of time without my hand cramping or hurting.
